Hendersonville, NC— Four Seasons has been named a 2023 Hospice Honors recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst, a leading provider of billing and coding services, CAHPS surveys and advanced analytics. Hospice Honors is a prestigious, national program that recognizes hospices providing the highest level of quality measured from the patient and caregiver’s point of view. This award acknowledges the highest-performing organizations by analyzing their performance on the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) satisfaction measures. “Hospice Honors recipients are industry leaders in providing quality care and constantly seeking ways to improve,” said Ronda Howard, Vice President of Revenue Cycle and CAHPS at HEALTHCAREfirst. “We are honored to be aligned with such high-performing agencies like Four Seasons and we congratulate them on their success.” 

Award criteria were based on HCAHPS survey results for April 2022 through March 2023. To be eligible for consideration, a hospice agency must be currently partnered with HEALTHCAREfirst for HCAHPS survey administration and must have had at least one survey returned in each of the four quarters of the evaluation period. HEALTHCARE first identified award recipients by evaluating performance on a set of 19 satisfaction indicator measures. The set of questions included only indicator measures, omitting qualifying, leader, and demographic questions. Individual agency performance scores were aggregated for the evaluation period and were compared on a question-by-question basis to a national average score calculated from partnering hospice agencies contained in HEALTHCAREfirst’s HCAHPS database.
