Four Seasons Becomes Living Wage Certified
Four Seasons, The Care You Trust is proud to announce that it is Living Wage Certified by Just Economics of WNC. In order to be considered Living Wage Certified, an employer must pay all full-time and part-time staff at least the living wage rate as defined by Just Economics of WNC’s eligibility criteria.
Four Seasons Vice President of Employee Solutions, Lauren Purdy, expresses, “We are so proud to be recognized as a Living Wage Certified Employer in WNC. At Four Seasons, paying a fair, competitive wage is just one way that we show our employees how much we value and appreciate them. As a nonprofit healthcare organization, the investments that we make in our staff through our annual salary review process and performance bonus program are the most important investments we make as an organization each year. At Four Seasons, the wellbeing of our staff is always a top priority and that includes doing what we can as an employer to support their financial wellbeing as well.”
In March 2008, Just Economics launched the Living Wage Certification Program, which identifies and promotes local employers that pay a Living Wage. Although the program originated in Buncombe and Transylvania Counties, Just Economics now has certified employers in several counties in WNC. Since 2008, they have certified 400+ local employers.
